Pioneer Engine Remanufacturer’s Warranty & Core Policy

Remanufactured Engine Warranty

Pioneer Engine Co., Inc. warrants our remanufactured engines for a period of Twelve (12) months
or 1,000 hours from our invoice date, whichever occurs first. All engines are warranted to be free
from defective parts and workmanship. Twelve Month Warranty effective provided Installing
Dealer maintains and services Equipment. This warranty shall not apply to any engine which has
been subject to misuse, neglect, or to any engine subjected to operations causing greater than
normal wear, or to engine failure due to improper installation, or caused by defective or improper
units on the engine. Melted or removed heat tab indicators will void any warranty consideration.

Engine oil leaks will be covered by warranty for 60 days from our invoice date.


In the event of a warranty claim, contact the service department at Pioneer Engines as soon as
possible. DO NOT repair or disassemble the engine without prior authorization by Pioneer
Engines or you may void the warranty. Pioneer Engines will either repair the claim or reimburse
the Dealer at a preapproved time and labor rate not to exceed 50% of the Standard Reman Price.
Labor will not be allowed for travel time, diagnostic time, rentals, down time. Etc. Pioneer Engines
must be contacted for authorization prior to warranty repairs being performed.


In the event of a third party, Pioneer Engines must be contacted by the Company invoiced for the
particular engine. The third party can either repair the claim at a reapproved time and labor rate by
Pioneer Engines or if necessary remove the engine and ship back to the invoiced Dealer at third
party’s expense. If Pioneer is at fault, Pioneer will repair the engine and ship back to third party at
Pioneer’s expense. Warranty claims will not be processed until defective parts are returned for
inspection.


Pioneer Engines WILL NOT honor warranty reports for the following:
Normal wear, operation abuse, lack of lubricant or fluids, improper maintenance of the air
filter system or cooling system.

Return Core Policy

  • Core must be returned 45 days from the original invoice date.
  • The Core must be in rebuildable condition, and the crankshaft must be able to rotate 360 degrees front and rear.
  • Like engine must be returned for like engine (spec for spec, model for model).
  • Engines must be sent fluid-free, or a $50.00 billback will apply.
  • Engine Cores received with damaged components will be subject to a billback charge.
  • Engine Cores received in disassembled fashion will be subject to a billback charge.
  • Engine Cores must be returned freight prepaid to: 
        • Pioneer Engine Company
        • 360 Constance Drive
        • Warminster, PA 18974

NOTE: Freight collect cores will not be accepted in our shipping and receiving department

  • To assure proper credit, include a copy of Pioneer Engine’s original invoice along with your returned core. If the original invoice is not available, the original invoice number should be referenced in the packing slip.
  • Charge will be refundable within 30 days of receiving your rebuildable core
